TracePal ("We", "Our", "Us") provides a location service for private groups of users. We operate under the umbrella of Bona Fide NGO that is engaged in social impact missions. TracePal respects your personal privacy rights and we do not, as a rule, collect personal information of any kind unless provided by you.
An account is created when you signup with your name, surname and mobile number. A default profile picture is creates when you register and you can update this picture at anytime.
All account's personal details are stored highly encrypted and authentication is provided using a One-Time-Code (OTC) sent to the account's mobile device.
Access to the map-service is available when the sharing of your location with your groups is enabled. You can decide to toggle off/on the sharing of your location at anytime under your Profile settings. When your location service is disabled on your device or you decide to switch off the sharing of your location in the application, then the users in your groups will see only your last known location.
TracePal never accesses the contacts on your device, via social-media discovery or any other way - ever.
We never share with anybody the connections that you establish while using the services when joining groups of accepting users in your groups.
If you decide to subscribe our newsletter, your email address will be stored as encrypted, never linked to your TracePal account and never shared with third-parties. You can unsubscribe to our newsletter at any time.
If you contact us, any personal information that you provide will be treated with the highest standard of security and confidentiality, strictly in accordance with the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The data provided will be used only for the purposes of researching the issue and contacting you about your case.
You can update your full name, mobile number and profile picture at any time. You can change your full name only once every 30 days.
TracePal accesses, stores, tracks and shares your location only with your Groups as part of the feature of the service. You can decide to toggle off/on the sharing of your location at anytime under your Profile settings.
We use only essential cookies that are strictly necessary to provide the services. Cookies must be enabled for the services to function.
TracePal does not collect, process, or store any analytical information based on personal data.
Notifications are used only as a signalling system. Notifications must be enabled for the service to function.
SMS (Short Message Service) may be used to send an anonymous OTC (One-Time-Code) for Two-Factor-Authentication. SMS never contain personal information and they are processed in partnership with Vonage. Vonage has an extensive Privacy Policy, please read their policy statements.
Donations are not linked to an account and can be anonymous. They are processed in partnership with Donorbox. Donorbox has an extensive Privacy Policy, please read their policy statements.
We may update this Privacy Policy as needed so that it is current, accurate, and as clear as possible. Your continued use of the services confirms your acceptance of our updated Privacy Policy.
